Description

This is a wonderful and comprehensive collection housed in an old Ideal album - many thousands of stamps in this one! There is good coverage of both the Commonwealth and foreign sections. Although some stamps have beenb removed from teh Commonwealth section, it has certainly not been 'cherry picked' of better stamps with much of interest in place with higher values, starting from earliest issues including a nice Penny Black. The foreign section looks pretty much in-tact, shown by the wonderful array of stamps on show. Too much to mention in this album, but it should be noted that there is so much more here than often found i.e. not just the usual 'classics' - German/Italian States etc. There is a welath of material here that would fill many elusive gaps in an existing collection. It is definitely worth highlighting the representation of Central and South America where many countries are very well filled. One of the other 'starring' countries is France, which is highly complete with plenty of high values, including some later issues including the high value 1936 Air set and 1936 10f Air, the 1936 50f unfortunately being stuck to its own selvedge but the whole set is of extremely vibrant colour. The 10f is MNH, being adhered by the margin, just with very slight paper adherence. This collection will require close inspection as there is going to be plenty more to find throughout. Catalogue value will be extremely high. The 375+ images below show all pages with three or more stamps unless more noteworthy. Please be sure to have a good look through. Condition will of course be variable and some of the mint stamps may be adhered to the pages and require some persuasion to be removed.
