Description

This is a vintage Stanley Gibbons "Improved" stamp album, 15th edition, which I estimate was made in the 1920s or '30s. It contains an all-world collection of over 800 stamps from about 1850 onwards, with plenty of well-filled pages including 19th century GB, Europe, Canada, Cape of Good Hope with 3 genuine triangles , India / Indian States, Australia, USA, Germany etc . All stamps are unchecked for shade, watermark, perforation gauge, etc. so you can have hours of fun looking for varieties . A s with all vintage collections the stamps are in v ery mixed condition throughout, so expect some occasional faults & damage , but also some better items here & there. Any overprints are not authenticated. I only collect GB and three Commonwealth countries, so I may have overlooked some valuable items. There are far more stamps than I can show in 24 photos, so if you want more photos of any particular country, please ask. The album itself is well-used and in damaged condition, with many pages partly or completely loose and separated from the binding. It would require extensive repairs for continued use.
